Plant disease clinic identifies new case of oak wilt

Earlier this year, the Cornell University Plant Disease Diagnostic Clinic (CU-PDDC) used a new rapid test they developed to identify a small number of oak trees with oak wilt disease on Long Island.

Alumna Rebecca Bennett (Ph.D. 2005, Bergstrom Lab) Wins ARS Group Research Award

ARS Research Plant Pathologist Rebecca Bennett, of the Wheat, Peanut and Other Field Crops Unit in Stillwater, OK, accepted an REE Mission Area Merit Award on behalf of the Stillwater peanut research group. This honor was awarded to the ARS Legume and Oilseed Breeding Team, which included 16 researchers working on dry bean/chickpea, soybean, and peanuts from 10 ARS locations.
